Yardley Photography Club

Cory Steiner began the Facebook page "Yardley Pictures" a couple of years ago. Cory has said, "It all started from the extreme terror of the volleyball parents (his daughter was on the team) screaming, 'We have a photographer,' as I was trying to figure out how to turn on my new camera." About 15 months ago, a few people posted regarding whether there was a photo club in Yardley. At the time, there was not, but several photographers voiced interest. They held an introductory organizational meeting a little over a year ago. The group is very informal, and they meet about once per month. At the meeting, they decide on a theme for that month, and each photographer shows about 10 images related to the prior month's theme.

Last March, Josh Friedman gave a presentation on creatively correct exposure and composition. At times, there are mini photo excursions. For example, a couple of months ago, Josh and a few others went to New York City to spend the morning taking photographs.

Meetings are held at the Continental Tavern on Main Street in Yardley at 7:30 on a Monday. Typically there are about a dozen photographers at meetings.
